Make sure you feed your chinchillas a high quality pellet. Do not use rabbit pellets or pellets that have treats in them. Many times the treats are just "corn" filler made to look like treats with food coloring. This is just an empty filler that is cheap and your chinchilla does not need that. My chinchillas thrive on the high quality pellets I use and are a better value than pet store pellets. I use a wholesale brand specially formulated for chinchillas
